On the left are fencers from the women’s team circa 1940, compared with current day women fencers on the right. Since Duke joined the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in 1953, the Blue Devils’ fencing team has won the ACC title twice, once in 2018 (for the men) and again in 2021 (both men and women).
