The ‘90s began with a string of Final Four appearances by men’s basketball and two consecutive national titles — the 1992 championship made more memorable by the miracle of “The Shot” by Christian Laettner to defeat Kentucky in the regional finals.
Off the court, the ‘90s was a period of building expansion, growing internationalization and the conversion of East Campus into a residential campus for first-year students.
